Andy Seuss Looks Back and Ahead at Concord Race By Denise DuPont
18-Year-Old Sums Up '05 Season, Looks Forward to Next Year of Racing
Andy Seuss came to Concord Motor Park in Concord, North Carolina with the # 70 True Value Modified to compete with modified cars north/south. On Friday, we found Andy working with his crew to repair the #70 car.  After a crash and pile-up in turn one, the #70 car received damage when his car was pushed into the accident and then hit again.
When Andy was asked to summarize his 2005 race season, he said, “Our last two races were pretty good, we had a win and a third. We came all the way from the back for the third. So we are happy. Right now we are down here we want to run with the fastest modifies in the country. We just want to get in the show.”

As far as the 2006 race season, Andy said, “Hopefully we will win more modified races. This is all I care about right now. We are right now planning to run the True Value Modified Series next year and if I have opportunities to do something else I will do that too.”

While running third during the first consi race, Andy got caught up in an accident in turn one on lap six. This incident almost ended his chances for getting into the 100-lap North South Shootout.  Andy did though make the show with a provisional position starting 33rd in the field.

After spinning early in the feature, Andy would come back to run in the top ten most of the race. Andy would eventually finish 11th. After the race, Andy mentioned that he felt that they did well with the car based on the shape the car was in for the race. After the qualifying race damage, the transmission had broken. To get the car ready for the Shootout race the team made parts from hand to repair it.  The team tried to get a top ten finish, but the car was hard to drive with the shape it was in.

Andy and the team did show they could run their True Value Modified Racing Series car with the best.
