Andy Seuss Named TVMRS Most Popular Driver
18-Year-Old Earns Award From His Actions On and Off The Track
Sometimes, nice guys do finish first.  One place where that is especially true is when it comes to fan voting of a series Most Popular Driver award.  That’s why it should be no surprise to fans of the True Value Modified Racing Series that 18-year-old Andy Seuss has been awarded the 2005 Most Popular Driver Award.
“This is pretty awesome,” said Seuss.  “We try to interact with the fans as much as possible and get bumper stickers and autograph cards out to them.  We do a lot of work like that and we’ve met a ton of really nice people.  They’ve been great to us too.  It’s a lot of fun.”

Seuss is from Hampstead, New Hampshire, but has raced all up and down the East Coast within the past year.  He’s been to Florida Speedweeks.  He’s been to the North vs. South Shootout in North Carolina and at each stop, the young driver and his crew of family and close friends always seems to meet a few more people at the track.

“We’ve met fans from all different states,” said Seuss.  “We even get e-mails from people out West.  I don’t know how what we do makes it out to them, but I’m sure through Speed51 and other places, they see what we’ve been doing.  It’s great to have that kind of fan base and respect from people.
“Anytime that we talk to someone who is going to be at a racetrack, we invite them down to the pits or if there is going to be an autograph session, we’ll tell them about it.  If we are staying at the track, we’ll invite people to come to the motorhome and hang out.”

The fans aren’t the only ones getting satisfaction from meeting the young driver.  Seuss seems to genuinely enjoy meeting race fans just as much.

“Meeting new people is a lot of fun,” said Seuss.  “A couple of seasons ago, I was the fan trying to climb over the fence.  At Concord, I was signing autographs next to Todd Szegedy and I wanted to walk over to him and ask him for his autograph.”

And finding someone else with a passion for racing is what it’s all about.

“Anytime you talk to a race fan, you are talking to someone else who just loves racing as much as you do,” said Seuss. ”I really enjoy that.”
