Young Driver is Happy With a Podium Finish
Tour officials told teams in the driver’s meeting that the race would be flagged as complete if and when it rained.  So Andy Seuss and his #70 Rockingham Boat/Manchester Urology team set their car up to be a rocket early in the race.  It worked in one respect, as Seuss led the first 68 laps, but when the race ran its entire distance, Seuss ended up with a third-place finish.  He was passed for second-place on the final lap.

“The race was good,” said Seuss.  “We definitely came out with a top three finish at a track that has not been too kind to us. We are happy with that. We were not good at the beginning of the day.

“It was a very strong car at the beginning, but I had to use it up protecting the lead. I probably should have played it

With the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto bearing down on Canaan Fair Speedway (NH), the teams of the True Value Modified Racing Series didn’t know what to expect from Saturday night’s race there.
smarter and faded it back. But with the threat of rain and the curfew issue that they spoke about I did what I had to. They had said the race could have been two laps long and they would have called it a finish so I wanted to lead as long as I could. I hoped I could have led to the end. I had a lot of heavy pressure in the beginning. When Jack [Bateman] came along I really had to push it. Overall, we are very happy. We have a car in one piece so we will take it to the next race.”

Seuss will race his Modified this weekend in Modified Mania at Thompson International Speedway.
