Andy Seuss Wants To Improve One Position at Monadnock
Where You Start is Key According to Young Driver
Andy Seuss finished second at Monadnock Speedway (NH) when the True Value Modified Racing Series started their 2006 season there last month. Now, when the tour returns to the high-banked quarter mile this Saturday night, he’s hoping to improve his finish by only one position.
“We’ve always run really well there and if luck goes our way, we should be up front near the day’s end,” said Seuss. “But there is a lot of competition in the series this year. Anybody in the top five can be there for the win.”
In April’s race at Monadnock, the two major players were Kirk Alexander, Seuss and Dwight Jarvis. Although all three started outside the first few rows, they all found their way to the front and finished among themselves in the same order where they started.
“Starting spots will really matter, just like it did in the first Monadnock race. I started ahead and Dwight Jarvis and finished ahead of Dwight. Kirk started ahead of me and he finished there.”
Seuss knows that the right balance of patience and aggression will lead to a strong finish in the 100-lap race.
“It’s definitely a good track for the Modifieds,” said Seuss. “It’s tight, it’s tiny and it’s physical. We’ll be looking to put the One Stop Toy Shop / Rockingham Boat Modified out front there by the night’s end.”
The 100-lap TVMRS event is scheduled for a post time of 6pm on Saturday night at Monadnock Speedway.
