Seuss Finishes Fifth in Points and Has Kind Words for The Champ
As the True Value Modified Racing Series prepares for their 2006 banquet, Andy Seuss and his #70 team are ready to attend and enjoy the fruits of finishing in the top five of the standings.
And even though Seuss came up short in the championship battle, finishing fifth in points after a mid-year streak of bad luck, the young driver is happy with the outcome of the points race. Veteran racer Dwight Jarvis is the 2006 TVMRS champion and Seuss is very happy for him.
“I really would like to congratulate Dwight Jarvis and his team,” said Seuss. “He is a class act. He’s the first person to help out another competitor who has trouble and he’s a clean guy to race against.”
Jarvis played a major role in one of Seuss’ memorable moments of 2006.
“One of the biggest highlights of the season was when I finished second at Monadnock,” said Seuss. “Kirk Alexander won the race and Dwight finished right behind me. Our three cars were so closely matched that even though we drove our butts off, we couldn’t pass each other. That was a fun race. To finish between those two champions (Alexander won the TVMRS title in 2004 and 2005) was great. I even got my picture taken with Dwight after the race.”
Before the banquet season starts though, Seuss still has one bit of unfinished business ahead of him. He will compete in the Thanksgiving weekend Mason-Dixon Meltdown at South Boston Speedway on November 24th-25th.
