In their second race together, Andy Seuss and the #07 Modified team owned by Brian Schofield got to learn each other a little bit better on their way to a 12th-place finish at Monadnock Speedway (NH). The team struggled with some handling issues in the season-opening race at Waterford Speedbowl, but since then Schofield has been hard at work on the car.
The progress showed at Monadnock. Seuss was third quickest in the first practice session, but the car slowed a little bit for qualifying and the heat races.
“We’re gaining and moving in the right direction,” said Seuss. “This combination is a new one, so it takes a little bit of time to get everything to be perfect. We were quick right away at Monadnock, but I’m not sure if the track changed or something changed with the car because we
weren’t as good in the race. We survived and finished 12th. Brian has been working hard on the car, and he’s got a few more things that he is going to work on, so we should be much better next time out.”
Seuss will return to the #07 car on May 26th when the True Value Modified Racing Series returns to Monadnock. His next race will be this Saturday, when he drives his family-owned #70 Stewart’s Automotive Modified in the USG Sheetrock 150 open race at All-Star Speedway (NH).
