TVMRS Race Gets Rained Out, So #70 team Makes Alternate Plans
When the True Value Modified Racing Series event at Monadnock Speedway (NH) was called off due to rain this past Saturday, the #70 Stuart’s Automotive/Rockingham Boat team of Andy Seuss could have just taken the rest of the day off. But that’s not their style. Instead, they checked the forecast and found another place to compete.
“We struggled a little bit during the day since it was our first time running on American Racer tires. The car was really tight and just wouldn’t turn in the center of the corners. But anytime I can race at Star, it’s fun and I’m glad to have gotten the change to do that this weekend. Now we’ll go through the car and triple check everything before going to Beech Ridge this weekend.”
The True Value Modified Racing Series will compete at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (ME) this Saturday night, August 4th.
Seuss towed to All-Star Speedway (NH) to take part in their double features for the Modifieds. It was a new experience for the team - one that they enjoyed.
“We got rained out at Monadnock, but we still wanted to race,” said Seuss. “So we went to All-Star. In the first feature, we finished third. In the second one, we started eighth, got up to fourth and then got trapped behind a slower car and dropped to 10th. We pitted with five laps to go to try and make the car better, but we just didn’t have enough time to come back through the pack.
