Seuss Finishes 11th in Less-Than-Ideal Night at Waterford
#07 Team Keeps Adjusting Car On Rough Night of Racing
It wasn’t a perfect night of racing for Andy Seuss at Saturday at Waterford Speedbowl as he made his debut driving the Brian Schofield-owned #07 Modified. Over 50 cars entered the True Value Modified Racing Series event there, with just over half making the race, so qualifying was tough. The racing was of the full-contact variety, with plenty of caution flags waving, so making it to the finish was tough. The #07 wasn’t quite handling the way that the team wanted it to either, so racing was tough.
But the team worked hard to improve the car and Seuss stayed out of trouble on the racetrack. Together, they brought home an 11th-place finish.
“I have been looking forward to driving the #07 car all
year,” said Seuss. “Coming home 11th out of the mess that was the race tonight was not at all bad. The car was not where we wanted it. There is definitely something wrong, but Brian and Larry are going to take it home, debrief it and definitely they will find what ever it is that was wrong.
“We came in almost every caution and worked on it. We just could not seem to shake the symptoms that the car was having. It was not the night that we wanted. It could have been worst and I am looking forward to next weekend.”
Seuss returns to action on Saturday night as the True Value Modified Racing Series visits Monadnock Speedway (NH).
