Andy Seuss is running primarily on the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and in the True Value Modified Racing Series this season, but that doesn’t mean that the New Hampshire driver can’t find time for a good open Modified show or two.
This weekend for example, Seuss will be heading to an old track with a new lease on life. He’ll be racing in the USG Sheetrock 150 Modified race at All-Star Speedway (NH), a track known formerly as Star Speedway before new owner Bobby McArthur bought the facility during the off-season and made several improvements.
“Bobby McArthur has created a great opportunity for the racers to make some money this weekend and for the fans to see a good show,” said Seuss. “I’m excited about going and I think that a fan of fans will be too. It should be interesting. I think that you might see a little bit of everything in this race. Leading 40 laps will pay the same as winning the race, so I expect that with the lap money you’ll see some drivers being pretty aggressive.”
Seuss likes racing close to home and has had a good record at All-Star Speedway.
“We always run well there,” said Seuss. “The last time that we went to the track, we almost won the race, but a late accident while leading took out us out.”
For this weekend, Seuss will be driving his family-owned #70 machine with a little bit of extra sponsorship help.
“Stewart’s Automotive is helping us out this week,” said Seuss. “The race is close to their home in Massachusetts and we’re very happy to be flying their colors this week.”
The USG Sheetrock 150 will take place on Saturday, May 12th at All-Star Speedway (NH)
