Seuss Working Out the Bugs at Seekonk
Team #70 Getting the Handling Woes Out of the Way for the North-South Shootout
Andy Seuss and the #70 Modified team headed to Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts this weekend for the True Value Modified Series Race after working day and night last week on their car.  Last week, Seuss was in an incident at Lee USA Speedway (NH) that left them with the challenge to repair it.

At Seekonk’s DAV 100 TVMRS Memorial race though, the car just was not quite where the team wanted it.  Seuss finished 14th.

“We brought in the car a couple of times to make changes but obviously there must be something major wrong somewhere with the suspension somewhere because it (the car) just won’t turn for us,” said Seuss.  “Something must be binding in the front of the car. The car is just not running where we need to run”

After heat races on Saturday, the team went to work to pull apart the car and make what they felt was the first change to get them back on track.

“We changed the shocks to rule those out and thought the car would be better. It is still not exactly what we need. The car is just a little bit too tight. “

The team will bring the car back to the shop and this week they will get out the tools to zero in on what they need to get the car and driver happy and racing.

“We will work on it and hopefully find something this week. We just have to keep plugging along. We will dissect it (the car) this week and start focusing on this car up here.”

Andy knows that Seekonk is fast and you have to be fast and to get to the front with the leaders to be in contention for a win.

“The track is a fast track and we were just a hair off tonight. We were lapped so it is a small fast track with only a couple of cautions. When you have a 60-lap green flag run on a small track, it is bound to happen.”

The goal of the #70 team as the year unwinds is to get some lap time in the TVMRS features and tweak the car for the North South Shoot-Out Race this November at Concord Motorsport Park (NC)

“Our main goal at the end of the year is the North-South Shootout.”
