Solid Day For Andy Seuss in Bristol Bash
11th-Place Finish and a Whole Lot of Fun For Seuss in Tennessee
Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee is a race track just about every racer in the country wants to race on at least once.  Andy Seuss and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour racers got that chance on Wednesday as they competed on the half-mile high-banked oval for the first time in the tour’s history.  Running a solid race, Seuss raced the track to an 11th-place finish.
“The guys put a great car under me,” said Seuss.  “We ran in the top 10 most of the day.  We just slipped out there about three laps to go and couldn’t hold onto it.  We actually tightened our car up too much thinking we were going to burn the right rear up, but with the heat in the track, it got racier and freer.  If we would have had one more segment, we would have freed up the car.”

Even though the finish was decent for the #47 Advance Auto Parts Modified, it seemed to be more about the event and experience for Seuss.  The race went smooth and he enjoyed every minute of his time at the famous facility.

“It was a lot of fun,” said Seuss.  “It was not as rough as everyone thought it was going to be.  I think it was one of the better Modified races – not too much carnage and real good racing.  There was probably more side by side racing than we had anticipated.

“I just can’t believe on how good of a race it was and the coverage that we got.  This is a famous facility and it was an awesome race running the Modifieds here.”

The next race for Seuss and the #47 Advance Auto Parts Modified is the August 29th race at Caraway Speedway (NC).
