Andy Seuss Sidelined by Late Race Incident
Despite Wreck, Still Posts a Fifth-Place Finish in the South
Andy Seuss has been a rolling story of success over the last few weeks.  The New Hampshire native had won two of the last three races on the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour.  He looked to continue the success in the Made in America 200 at Martinsville Speedway (VA).  However, ignition problems and a post race wreck left him 21st in the race, but still a solid fifth in the southern rundown since the event was scored as a NASCAR Whelen Modified / NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified combination event.
“The whole Advance Auto Parts Dodge team did a great job,” said Seuss.  “It’s frustrating, but it’s good to know we came back here for the second year in a row with a great car.  We had the ignition box get unplugged.  Not sure if a piece of rubber grabbed it and pulled it out because it was way out.  It’s unfortunate, these guys because deserve a win here.  We had an awesome car.”

Seuss knows that the chances of catching George Brunnhoelzl, III for the Southern Tour Championship is now bleak.  They just plan to show up to the final two events with the intention of winning both races.

“Unless Georgie doesn’t show up, he’s got it,” said Seuss.   “Were just going to go out and do everything we can to win those last two races.  We’ll just gun for wins now.”

Seuss will be back in action on Friday, October 2nd at Ace Speedway (NC) for the next to the last event on the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
